irisguard, the pioneer of, and market leader in, iris recognition technology, has today announced the appointment of Bashar Arafeh to lead its regional operations in the Middle East and Africa (MEA).

Bashar brings to irisguard more than 18 years’ senior level experience in disruptive technologies and mobile telecoms across four continents, most notably Group COO East Africa and Group CCO for Zain Mobile and VP West Canada for Wind Mobile.  Bashar will lead ’s operations in MEA seeking to capitalise on innovative payment and financial inclusion technologies.  Founded in 2001, irisguard has changed the face of biometric payments with its patented EyePay® platform that accurately verifies the user and allows instant access to cash or goods.
